The Navy Inn, just off Penzance Promenade is a pub & restaurant with fine food at its heart.  Awarded an AA rosette for the quality of its food for the 5th year running.  The Navy is an old pub with bare floorboards and a traditional bar, whilst also having relaxed yet stylish dining areas.  With an informal and very friendly atmosphere where you can go in for just a beer, sit around with cups of coffee and read the papers, snack on sharing plates or have a full 3 course meal.  The menu offers a delicious mix, with lots of local seasonal produce while at a price that represents really good value for money and less than a lot of other pub restaurants now charge.

All the dishes are presented beautifully but the taste of each dish we hope will make you return again & again.

Keir the chef/owner bought the pub five years ago and transformed it into its present guise and it has won many admirers since. Within weeks of opening we won an AA rosette for fine food.  We support & promote each year the Newlyn fish festival with cookery demonstrations for Seafood Cornwall. We truly believe in using local seasonal produce & promoting the best & freshest foods. With Newlyn fish market a 10-minute stroll along the promenade fish is always at the forefront of our menu. Cornwall has been at the heart of the food revolution, with small local farmers having fabulous organic products, from a diverse range of herbs, dairy, wines, ciders & beers through to the meat. We always feature local game, steaks and great lamb & pork, just look at our menus. We are lucky to be able to work with these and as you can see all are local from our list of suppliers.

With a selection of 12 wines by the glass & 30 by the bottle, good local real ales, full range of teas & coffees to enjoy inside or at the outside tables, by the roaring wood fire in the winter, with the daily papers, with friends or just in peace.

The idea behind the Navy pub is somewhere to come for a beer, or bottle of good wine, having great food without the pomp, ceremony and prices of a fine dining restaurant whilst still delivering the same quality of food. We are passionate about all we do.
